Misty Cooks in her Chef’s Secret Cookware Set

Misty brushed the back of her hand over her forehead after getting out her Chef’s secret cookware set, not even realizing she had just smeared flour all over her face. Her mind was on trying to remember her grandmother’s recipe for homemade hamburger stew. It had been a few years since she had made it and she never wrote any of her recipes down, just like her mom before her and her grandmother before that.

She came from a long line of cooks and when the weather started turning cool their minds always turned to soups, casseroles and stews.

Misty thought hard as she finished up the homemade chocolate chip cookies that she was making for the kids Christmas party tomorrow then pulled the stock pot out of the cabinet that had come with her Chef’s secret cookware set and sat it on the stove. She had decided to wing it and try to remember it as she peeled the potatoes for the stew:

Grand mama’s Homemade Hamburger Stew:

• 5 to 7 large potatoes
• 1 1b carrots
• 2 cans of tomatoes
• 1 can of green beans
• 2 cans of corn
• 1 can of lima beans
• 3lb of hamburger meat
• 1 onion

Mix raw hamburger meat and onions in the stock pot of your Chef’s secret cookware set turn to medium heat and let them brown slowly while you are cubing and cutting the carrots. After the meat is done drain it carefully as to not lose any of the onions. Add the green beans, corn and lima beans draining the juice from them first. Add your carrots and potatoes then your tomatoes with the juice still in them. Add enough water to completely cover the ingredients and stir. Season to taste.

Let the stew simmer for two to three hours at the least although all day is better. Serve with homemade biscuits or corn bread for the perfect winter meal. It’s even better cooked in the Chef’s secret cookware set with its even heating and airtight lids.

Misty smiled as the aroma of the hamburger stew wafted through the house a few hours later smelling just like the hamburger stew her grandmamma used to make. That smell and the smell of the cinnamon snicker doodle cookies she was baking brought back a lot of memories from her childhood. Her grandmamma was always cooking or baking something on cold winter days when she came in from school. Those were some of the best memories of Misty’s life and she was determined to pass those same memories on to her own children. Those memories and the love of food and cooking instilled in her by her mom and grandmother was the reason she had bought the Chef’s secret cookware set that she was using to cook in today.
